All performers in the Competitions receive a written report from the adjudicator with constructive feedback about their performance.

All place-getters receive a certificate with their report.

In addition, many prizes in the form of money, trophies and cups have been generously gifted by past and present members of the Nelson Community.

Prizes available will be listed in the Syllabus but a few of the main cash prizes are listed below:

Vocal :The Nelson Aria: 1st prize $5000 donated by The Malvina Major Foundation, 2nd prize $2000 donated by Sealord.
The Nelson  Recital prize: 1st prize $1500 donated by Tima Consulting, 2nd prize $500 donated by Tima Consulting, 3rd prize $100 donated by Soundworkz

Instrumental: Nelson Markets Ltd Sonata: 1st prize $500

Speech and Drama: The Speech and Drama Recital prize $200.
